A leading aerospace firm is seeking a Thermomechanical Solution Engineer to work on cutting-edge satellite designs. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in aerospace CAD design and a strong understanding of structural and thermal modeling. This role involves working closely with customers and the project team, from initial concepts through to testing and industrialization. Fluency in English is required, and there is an option to work at the Toulouse site in France or Mont-Saint-Guibert in Belgium.
Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.
Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.
In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 200 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.
As thermomechanical solution engineer, you will encompass the mechanical aspects of our future platforms, dealing hands‑on with structural, thermal and system constraints to bring up the best solution for our customers. Those solutions are first to be found through swift concept study iterations, in close coordination with the sales team, then detailed and brought to life through pragmatic detailed design with the rest of the project team.
You will therefore join an efficient team that works on cutting‑edge satellite from their inception to their final assembly: our activities range from performing the concept trade‑offs and the overall design studies to the validation of the product through extensive testing.
