A leading life sciences company in Île-de-France is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales within key accounts including academic and government sectors. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD in a related field, strong sales skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships. Experience in laboratory settings and proficiency in Salesforce and Excel are preferred. This is a full-time, traveling position with a starting date of September 1st.

Qualifications

  • Minimum MSc or PhD in Cell, Molecular Biology, or related discipline.
  • Some sales experience is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years bench experience in relevant life science area.

Position and assignments

Takara Bio is seeking to recruit an experienced Territory Manager with strong Life Science sales experience and background in life science research.

Territories Managers are expected to have excellent communication and collaborative relationship building skills. The individual should be highly motivated to meet and exceed targets, well organized, structured, skilled at managing time effectively, a team player and able to deliver under pressure. They should also be well versed in virtual sales meeting tools, office-based computer packages (especially Excel) with previous experience of using and reporting on Sales Force and revenue data.

Finally, Takara expects their Territory Managers to be proactive and ‘sales hunters’ who can find new business and maintain / grow existing business. Therefore, we expect the candidate to have a proven track record of new business development.

Takara Bio is seeking to recruit an experienced Territory Manager with strong Life Science sales experience and background in life science research.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the sales of company’s products within Key Academic, Hospital, Pharma, Biotech and Government accounts. In addition to delivering a high level of personal service to customers at all times.
  • Achieves sales target by maintaining existing level of sales, as well as growing sales of existing and new accounts the growth of existing accounts and the development of new accounts.
  • Prospect and map new accounts and customers while identifying relevant customers for new product launches.
  • Maintain high level of technical knowledge of Takara products and position accordingly against competitors.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively implement and execute corporate sales and marketing strategy and tactics
  • Demonstrates ability to implement effective selling techniques utilized by the organization. Creates and executes questioning strategies designed to advance objectives of call, value proposition and closing statements.
  • Communicates potential opportunities with the Head of Sales and Product Managers by entering pertinent information into Sales Force.
  • Provides timely communication and follow-up to customers; consistently meets the customer’s expectations.
  • Collaborates with RSM, European Sales Manager, Product Managers and / or R&D to offer presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site customer visits.
  • Attends trade and vendor shows and meetings as required.
  • Provides pertinent market and competitive information to the organization.
  • Analyzes accounts, competition and product mix; Identifies areas for likely sales growth and executes plan to achieve it.
  • Contributes to business plan to increase revenue within territory.
General Duties
  • Establishes productive relationships with customers and colleagues to accomplish team objective.
  • Clearly communicates technical details with customers and colleagues.
  • Recognizes problems and suggests new approaches to solve them.
