About the Role :

As Technical Testing Manager at Xiaomi France, you will lead all carrier acceptance, device certification, and field validation activities for Xiaomi smartphones and connected devices in the French market. You will act as the technical owner for product commercialization, ensuring that Xiaomi products meet carrier, regulatory, and user-experience requirements before and after market launch.

You will manage local testing resources, drive cross-regional execution with China HQ R&D teams, and serve as Xiaomi’s technical representative toward key French operators.

Responsibilities

• Carrier & Commercial Readiness Ownership
• Own all technical approval and acceptance processes with French operators (Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Free)
• Define and manage certification and testing roadmaps aligned with product launch plans
• Act as Xiaomi’s senior technical interface to operators during pre-commercial and commercial phases
• Software Release & Quality Governance
• Lead software validation strategy for French and European variants
• Define release gates and quality criteria for MP, MR, and operator-specific builds
• Approve software readiness for commercial launch
• Advanced Network & Technology Leadership
• Drive validation and deployment of 5G SA / NSA, VoLTE, VoNR, VoWiFi, carrier aggregation, and mmWave
• Lead lab, field, and inter-operability testing across multiple operators
• Represent Xiaomi in joint testing activities and technical workshops with carriers
• Issue Management & Risk Control
• Own the defect escalation framework between local teams, operators, and China R&D
• Ensure root-cause analysis, prioritization, and closure of all critical network and device issues
• Provide risk assessment and go- / no-go recommendations for product launchesTeam & Stakeholder Leadership
• Build and lead Xiaomi France’s local testing and certification capability
• Mentor engineers and define best practices for validation, automation, and reporting
• Work closely with TAM, Sales, Marketing, Product, and HQ R&D to align technical readiness with business goals
• Market & Competitive Intelligence
• Track competitor performance in French operator networks
• Provide technical input to product strategy and positioning in Europe

Qualifications : Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

Experience & Expertise

• 7+ years in mobile device testing, carrier certification, or telecom engineering
• Strong expertise in 4G / 5G, VoLTE / VoNR, IMS, data performance, and device-network interoperability
• Hands-on experience working with mobile network operators in Europe
• Solid experience in software release management and defect tracking systems (JIRA or similar)
• Strong ownership, execution focus, and customer-first mentality
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, international product launch environments

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with operators and internal stakeholders
