At our Belfort site we specialize in the development of locomotives and high-speed TGV engines.

As part of our projects and offers, we are looking for a

SYSTEMS ENGINEER MULTI FUNCTIONS / MULTI COMPONENTS

You will be in charge of several functions / components as lighting, fire protection, driving, coupling…

Your main missions:
  • Define / specify the architecture (embedded on trains) choices related to the functions, and technical choices for trains in the offer and project phase in accordance with customer requirements. In order to meet the expected performance
  • Define / specify the performances
  • Define / specify the components
  • Develop expertise on the functions / components
  • Follow the suppliers in charge for some components
  • Ensure the coordination of design, validation and certification activities for this domain
  • Contribute to problem solving in development, validation and warranty
  • Provide advice and expertise internally, defend technical choices to clients/projects and act as the interface with the various departments of the Design Office (mechanics, control/command, validation, operational safety, etc.)
  • Specify tests, participate in development and assist with validation and certification
Your responsibilities and your autonomy
  • Guarantee the Quality Cost Time objectives of the proposed technical solutions
  • Be the point of contact for this function with Projects / Clients / other ALSTOM Sites
  • Actively contribute to the success of railway projects by bringing your vision
  • Ultimately recognized expertise
Your profile
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, with proven experience (3 to 4 years) in design office or systems engineering (ideally in the railway sector)
  • Able to understand/grasp other areas (mechanics/vibration/ etc .)
  • Ability to work independently on multiple systems and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to challenge product definitions by their suppliers / ability to verify supplier deliverables
  • Customer and product orientation
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
