About us

Owkin is an AI company on a mission to solve the complexity of biology. It is building the first Biology Super Intelligence (BASI) by combining powerful biological large language models, multimodal patient data and agentic software. At the heart of this system is Owkin K, an AI copilot, and its new LLM fine‑tuned on biology called Owkin Zero, used by researchers, clinicians and drug developers to better understand biology, validate scientific hypotheses and deliver better diagnostics and therapies faster.

Position is based in our Paris office with an anticipated start date of 1st March 2026.

About the role

As a Corporate Development & Strategy Intern you will work within Owkin’s Corporate Development & Strategy team on a broad range of key strategic initiatives underpinning Owkin’s core business: multimodal data access and generation, agentic AI software and platforms, therapeutic in‑licensing and clinical development. You will interact with a wide range of other functions at Owkin in order to deliver on Owkin’s strategic growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Defining the overall corporate & operational strategy
• Building Owkin’s portfolio of therapeutic assets and defining our clinical and pipeline strategy
• Executing mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, asset in‑licensing and fundraising
• Providing market research, financial analysis, competitive intelligence, valuation exercises and coordinating comprehensive due diligence processes
• Research, report and maintain a knowledge base of companies in drug discovery and development, health data and agentic AI to identify and analyse potential partners or competitors
• Track fundraising, partnering and licensing deals in the industry to maintain an understanding of market dynamics
• Landscape cutting‑edge drug discovery technologies, AI platforms and biological datasets to support strategy
• Maintain project management tools and track progress
• Coordinate workstreams with other business units
• Report notes and takeaways from internal and external meetings
• Work with senior executives and managers to prepare materials for Owkin’s internal decision meetings, external presentations and board meetings

About you

• Is enrolled in or has recently completed or will soon complete a Master’s degree program in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, (Bio)chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or a similar field
• Has demonstrated strong interest in business, finance or management
• Can work full time in our Paris office for 6 months
• Is a structured thinker who can formulate how to get work done and ask questions
• Communicates effectively in written and oral English
• Learns quickly and is passionate about Biotech and AI
• Prioritises tasks and is able to juggle multiple workstreams
• Is numerate and tech‑savvy
• Brings creative thinking to their work
• Ideally has previous experience in the health sector, strategy consulting or corporate finance – a plus but not required
