Qualifications

• Currently in a final year or gap year at a top tier business or engineering school.
• A first experience with a well-known international consulting firm or in corporate finance is appreciated.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent research and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical intern to join our Strategy and M&A team under the guidance of Deezer’s Chief Strategy Officer.

As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with a team composed of 3 people coming from diverse backgrounds, including consulting and M&A, gaining hands‑on experience in the dynamic and rapidly evolving music streaming industry.

This role offers exposure to critical strategic initiatives and the chance to contribute to the company's growth.

This is a 6-month internship starting in January 2026.

What you will do:

• Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the music streaming and entertainment industry
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop and refine corporate strategies, including market entry, growth, and expansion plans
• Presentations: Prepare and contribute to presentations for senior leadership, summarising findings, recommendations, and insights
• Due Diligence: Assist in conducting due diligence on potential M&A targets, including financial analysis, market positioning, and risk assessment
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization, including finance, legal, and product, to support the execution of strategic initiatives

Qualifications

This role is excellent for a person with:

• You are currently in a final year or gap year (“césure”) at a top tier business or engineering school
• A first experience with a well‑known international consulting firm or in corporate finance (investment banking, private equity) would be highly appreciated
• You have strong analytical skills with excellent research and problem‑solving abilities
• Able to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative and international environment
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills, both in English and in French
• You are attracted by the tech / start‑up environment and a passion for the music and entertainment industry is a plus
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
