Responsibilities / Tasks

Optimize and develop maintenance methodologies for equipment.

Ideal project for final year students.

Our range of Cutters and Crushers is manufactured in our factories in Germany and the Netherlands.

Our machines are designed to meet the highest availability requirements and offer automation and ease of use, while complying with all hygiene standards to ensure product safety.

Many maintenance interventions are sold with our Grinding and Slicing machines. During these maintenance visits, some require more handling and time to be performed correctly.

These visits are often challenged by our clients to be completed in shorter times while maintaining intervention constraints, safety, and resource availability.

This internship aims to improve our intervention processes and promote our service products.

The objective is to conduct an in-depth analysis of our processes to improve:

• Our intervention times
• Our intervention means
• Our intervention safety

The intern will consult with various company experts to analyze maintenance categories, processes, necessary tools, and potential improvements.

At the end of the internship, the intern will:

• Design and document intervention protocols for cutters and crushers in collaboration with our factories in Wallau (DE) and Bakel (NL).
  • Cutter: replace bearing on the knife shaft.
  • Crusher: replace reducer and shaft bearings.
• Create an intervention kit with tools for cutters and crushers.
• Redefine intervention times.

The intern will propose quantified and budgeted improvement solutions, and upon validation, negotiate with suppliers to implement these solutions during future maintenance.

Travel to client sites with practical scenarios is expected.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Compensation: yes

Student engineer at Bac+4/Bac+5 level with an interest in continuous improvement and methods.

Must speak English; knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus due to frequent communication with our factories.

Good technical knowledge (mechanics and electronics).

Entrepreneurial spirit and autonomy.

Proficiency in Office 365.

Excellent adaptability and communication skills.

Willingness to travel and participate in client scenarios.
