Internship : Junior International Affairs Analyst (Intern) at ENGIE Corporate (F / M)

Position is full-time and based in Paris (France) internship starting for a 6‑month period as of March 2026.

ENGIE is refocusing :
  • We are focusing on four core activities: renewable energy, energy solutions, networks and thermal production & energy supply.
  • We are reorganising around four Global Business Units to gain clarity and performance.
  • We are focusing on a geographic footprint reduced to less than 30 countries by 2030 (from 70 in 2018).
  • We are implementing a performance plan whose pillars are digitalisation & data and strengthening operational excellence to save 600 million € by 2023.
  • We are regrouping some service activities by creating an entity that will be a leader in technical services.

We are accelerating our growth in renewable energy and low‑carbon distributed energy infrastructures:

  • Developing renewables by allocating almost 45 % of our growth investments by 2023, targeting an additional 3 GW in 2021 and 4 GW / year from 2022 to 2025, and 6 GW from 2026.
  • In energy solutions, aiming to develop an additional capacity of 8 GW by 2025 in low‑carbon distributed energy infrastructures.
  • Strengthening our role in renewable gas and particularly hydrogen, aiming for a renewable hydrogen production capacity of 4 GW with over 100 fueling stations for hydrogen mobility.
The International Affairs team is part of the Group Public Affairs Directorate.
International Affairs team :
  • Advocating for ENGIE’s international positions toward French and foreign authorities.
  • Promoting ENGIE’s interests in bilateral relations between countries and international organisations.
  • Managing relations with the Embassies network, the French Foreign Affairs Ministry and international organisations.
  • Supporting the Group top management’s business trips, public interventions and participation to international organisations.
  • Fostering interaction with teams in different geographies (outside Europe) to ensure a geopolitical watch and support local needs.
Your missions in the team
  • Worldwide geopolitical watch related to energy (essentially outside Europe).
  • Attend external conferences on international affairs matters.
  • Perform research and detailed analyses on geopolitical and energy policy issues that could lead to short memos or long‑term studies.
  • Contribute to position papers on international matters.
  • Contribute to advocacy efforts in specific geographies.
  • Support work related to relations with international institutions and trade associations.
Who are you
  • Student at least at Master’s degree level in a Business School or top‑level University specialised in Management, Energy Regulation, Legal or Political Science.
  • Interested in the renewable energy sector.
  • Team‑player, enthusiastic, demonstrating empathy and respect for people.
  • Strong teamwork spirit and efficient communication; pragmatic, able to manage projects autonomously.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand promptly new concepts and share findings adequately.
  • Fluent in French and English; another language (Spanish, Portuguese, German) is a plus; past experience in an English‑speaking professional environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in Office 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Open to diversity and capable of working with a variety of cultures.
  • Open‑minded and adapted to different teams, stakeholders or ways of working.
  • Develop authentic relationships through generous listening and straight talk.
