As our Firmware Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Designing and implementing new secure embedded firmware applications in C
- Leading by example in development practices
- Developing low-level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)
- Proposing and implementing architecture for our new and existing products
- Reviewing and maintaining existing code base
- Supporting the designing and developing of desktop engineering tools
- Developing test fixtures in C and higher-level Object-Oriented languages (e.g., C#)
- Documenting and providing cross-functional training on low-level concepts
Your Experience and Background include:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on code development
- Expertise in C development for firmware purposes
- Experience with C++
- Experience with .NET is a plus
- Expertise in hardware-level drivers (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Bugzilla, Jira)
- Knowledge of test frameworks and automated build systems (e.g., Jenkins, NUnit, NAnt)
- Ability to complete design tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE, or Bluetooth technologies is a plus
- Experience with Agile Scrum development is a plus
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Familiar with operating environments such as Windows, Linux, and VMWare
