SUMMARY

Drive and accelerate sales growth across the South-East of France. As a true business hunter (fluent in French and English), the Senior Sales Area Manager will focus on expanding market coverage, opening new accounts, and strengthening brand visibility across key retail channels. In the medium term (2-3 years), this role will evolve toward building and leading a dedicated field sales team within this strategic region.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities across specialized baby stores, toy retailers, regional chains, and concept stores.
  • Build and execute a regional growth plan aligned with the national sales strategy.
  • Negotiate local listings, permanent placements, and promotional activations.
  • Grow sales revenue, distribution, and brand visibility across the assigned region.
  • Ensure best-in‑class retail execution: merchandising, displays, seasonal promotions, and brand visibility.
  • Train and motivate in-store staff to enhance brand advocacy and sell-out performance.
  • Provide regular field insights and reporting (sales, competition, pricing, market opportunities).
  • Collaborate closely with Trade Marketing, Sales Support, and International HQ to adapt plans and tools.
  • Contribute to the structuring of the regional field sales network.
  • Lay the foundation for future regional management: identify, train, and lead future field reps.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5 years of experience minimum in field sales or business development within baby care, toy, FMCG, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong understanding of the French retail landscape (Aubert, Orchestra, King Jouet, JouéClub, Leclerc etc.) and connections already existing.
  • Proven hunter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and drive for business growth.
  • Ability to develop and lead a team in the medium term.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
  • Degree in business, Sales, or Marketing Bac + 3 a Bac + 5
  • Sales and Cycle of negotiation
  • Business analytical skills to manage account profitability is required
  • Pack Office
  • Native French and fluent level in English (verbal and written)
  • Creative, highly motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, team player, excellent verbal and visual communication skills
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive the car is required
COMPUTER / TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
