Overview

emagine is seeking a Software engineer Java / C#. Location: Remote (Hybrid). Duration: 12 months. Start: ASAP.

Role Summary

As a Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications mainly for the Windows 10 / 11 platform that operate across CUTE / Non-CUTE and on our future CUPPS environments. You will play a key role in enabling seamless passenger services with the delivery of business applications on a common-use platform at airport front-office and back-office positions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, system integration skills, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test and package applications for the Windows 10 / 11 platform (e.g., Custom Chromium browser, Peripheral Manager) for deployment in CUTE / CUPPS environments.
  • Ensure compliance with certification requirements from common-use providers like SITA, RESA, and EMBROSS.
  • Integrate applications with ALTEA and other airline systems, including test environment setup, validation and certifications.
  • Collaborate with other AFKL business teams including BRMs, business analysts, and external vendors.
  • Document technical specifications, test results, and deployment procedures.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives on CUPPS future solutions.
Key Requirements
  • Strong programming skills using modern Java and C# frameworks (Spring Boot, .NET).
  • Thorough understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms for developing efficient and maintainable software.
  • Experience using testing frameworks (JUnit) to ensure quality code development.
  • Good understanding of Windows architecture and interactions with technical applications, printers, and scanners.
  • Proficiency in version control using Git and GitHub.
  • Experience with debugging tools for issue resolution.
  • Understanding of network / web technologies (TCP / IP, Web sockets, FTP, HTTP, REST APIs).
  • High level understanding of network architecture including proxy server solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with airport or airline IT systems.
  • Familiarity with certification processes on provider platforms (like SITA / RESA).
  • Exposure to cloud-native and hybrid deployment models.

This is a hybrid position allowing for flexibility in work location. Candidates should be prepared to start as soon as possible.
