Description du poste

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Specialist, operating as part of the Technical Support Group (TSG) deployed at the contractor's facility in Clermont Ferrand, France.

Providing technical support services and engineering reach back as per the service level agreement during associated long term planned depth and forward maintenance. The incumbent will provide Marshall technical representation by continuing the established direct relationship with the prime contractor (SIAe) associated stakeholders and the end user (French Air-Force).

Responsibilities / Technical Knowledge
  1. Technical Assistance

    Respond to official Demande-Reponse (D-R) requests when able, respond to general technical knowledge questions as required. Respond to specialist technical knowledge questions. Co‑coordinate responses with the Cambridge based Technical Support Group for D‑Rs.

    Review and discuss maintenance issues encountered by the customer. Real‑time troubleshooting and technical documentation review (including Lockheed drawing set and documentation available on Lockheed EDCS, PCM and EMAP).

  2. Support to the Aircraft Type Certificate Holder.

    Co‑coordinate with Cambridge based Airworthiness Support Group to respond to the customer on defined tasks.

  3. Aircraft Repairs.

    Review aircraft damage with the customer to identify suitable repair solution. Review customer‑prepared Damage Reporting Forms (DRF) to ensure completeness.

    Enhance communication throughout the repair process between the customer and the Cambridge based Repairs Team. Chair weekly repair review meetings with Cambridge based Repairs Team.

    Attend weekly repair review meetings with the customer.

    Provide up‑to‑date repair kit progress information.

  4. Obsolescence Management.

    Review obsolescence’s raised by the customer with the Cambridge based Obsolescence Management Team.

    Notify the customer of new obsolescence’s identified by the Cambridge based Obsolescence Management Team.

    Attend bi‑monthly obsolescence review meeting with the Cambridge based Obsolescence Management Team.

  5. Airworthiness Advice and Investigations.

    Attend weekly review meeting with the customer to review repair documentation, technical publication supplements, modifications planned and in‑work, French Air Force Technical Event Notifications (CRFTs).

    i. FAA and EASA AD, Lockheed SB, and USAF TCTO and STCTO.

    ii. Maintenance Input Queries (review of Lockheed work cards).

Targets

Meeting response time KPI’s for technical queries.

Penalty review of tasks subject to penalty. Negotiate penalties based on available justification and supporting documentation. Submit agreed penalties to Cambridge based Commercial and Financial teams for review. Negotiate with support from Cambridge based Commercial and Financial teams’ final penalty amounts. Support penalty exoneration activities. At all times maintain cordial relations with all internal and external stakeholders.

Education / Skills

Technical / engineering background (ESSENTIAL), the post holder will work in an MRO military aircraft environment.

Structural repair knowledge of C130 aircraft (ESSENTIAL).

Post holder must be a highly self‑motivated and flexible team player capable of working under minimum supervision on site at their MRO.

Excellent verbal and written skills in English and French at a technical level (Desirable).

Capable of using Microsoft software package including Outlook and Teams to communicate with Cambridge and Canadian based teams and departments.
