A cybersecurity firm in Paris seeks a Senior Product Designer to enhance how security analysts engage with complex workflows. You will design investigation paths, create data visuals, and collaborate with engineering teams. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in product design, especially for complex, data-driven products. This role is remote-friendly and offers a competitive package.
Qevlar is a B2B SaaS startup on a mission to radically boost the productivity of cybersecurity teams. We build AI Cybersecurity Analysts that augment Security Operations Centers. In just two years, we have:
Raised $14 million from EQT Ventures and Forgepoint Capital
Joined Microsoft's genAI studio and Meta's AI program
Deployed our solution with major Enterprises and leading MSSPs
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who will shape how security analysts interact with complex investigation workflows.
Design investigation workflows that guide analysts through complex decisions while maintaining context and clarity
Create data visualisations and prioritisation interfaces that surface the right insights at the right time
Build features that explain AI reasoning and decision‑making to technical users who need to trust, and verify, automated findings
Design multi‑level views that provide appropriate detail for different user roles, from junior analysts to security leaders
Partner closely with engineering teams to understand platform constraints and identify creative solutions within those boundaries
Participate in technical discussions to ensure design feasibility
Work with product management to translate user needs and business requirements into design solutions
Engage directly with MSSP partners and enterprise security teams to understand their workflows, pain points, and decision‐making processes
Establish and evolve our design system, creating reusable components and patterns for complex security workflows
Build design documentation, style guides, and interaction patterns that scale as the team grows
Introduce design practices, tools, and workflows that mature our product design function
Balance consistency with innovation, knowing when to follow established patterns and when to break new ground
5+ years of product design experience working on complex, data‑heavy products (security tools, observability platforms, analytics systems, developer tools, or similar technical domains)
Strong portfolio demonstrating your process and outcomes on products with complex workflows, multi‑dimensional data, or technical user bases
Proven ability to design for users who need to make high‑stakes decisions with incomplete information
Experience working in fast‑paced environments (Series A/B startups, scale‑ups, or fast‑moving product teams)
Track record of implementing or contributing to design systems at growing companies
Deep understanding of user research methodologies – conducting interviews, usability testing, and translating findings into design decisions
Expert‑level proficiency in Figma and prototyping
Strong UI skills and attention to detail
Experience in developing and maintaining on‑brand design system
Ability to design complex information architectures and data visualisations that make technical information clear and coherent
Understanding of front‑end development fundamentals and designing for dynamic content
Experience designing for B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or cybersecurity products
Understanding of how to design for trust in AI/ML systems
Usage of modern AI‑tools for optimising your workflow
Understanding of SOC workflows, security operations, or threat investigation processes
Experience with graph‑based visualisations or relationship mapping interfaces
A taste for shaping brand identities
You thrive in ambiguity and can make design progress even when requirements are evolving. You're comfortable with technical discussions and can hold your own when engineers push back on feasibility. You balance user advocacy with business constraints, knowing that the best design is one that actually ships.
You're comfortable working autonomously but know when to pull in collaborators. You're pragmatic about design debt, willing to ship an 80% solution today rather than wait months for perfection. You care deeply about craft but understand that fast‑paced environments require strategic trade‑offs.
Direct impact on product direction at a fast growth Series A company
Work with cutting‑edge AI technology solving real security problems
Collaborative team that values design as a core discipline
Remote friendly, competitive package
