Role: Senior Legal Counsel
You will join the Legal and Compliance team, working closely with the General Counsel and other business stakeholders, to support Betclic’s operational and strategic activities in a fast-paced, international environment. You will oversee all legal matters — particularly contractual — related to Betclic’s activities in France and coordinate the group’s operational marketing strategies across markets.
Your role within Betclic
In this role, your main missions will be to:
- Review, draft, and negotiate all types of contracts (sponsorship, brand ambassador, partnership, affiliate, etc.) and legal documents related to the company’s operations
- Oversee contract execution in close collaboration with the marketing teams
- Provide legal support for group projects and advise teams on all legal matters
- Supervise communication strategies and organize promotional operations (national campaigns) with the compliance teams
- Ensure the legal framework and compliance of promotional operations and related communications (legal notices, contest rules, visual approvals, IP, etc.)
- Maintain and ensure the compliance of the website’s terms and conditions
- Contribute to the management of international cross-functional marketing projects
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments applicable to the company’s activities (advertising and media law, IP, consumer law, etc.)
- Manage and work closely with external counsel on pre-litigation matters
- Contribute to training and raising awareness among marketing teams regarding legal and regulatory constraints
Who we are looking for

This job is for you if:
- You have a Master’s degree (Master II) in Business Law / Contract Law
- You have at least 10 years of professional experience in an international environment, preferably within the digital sector. Experience abroad (such as an LL.M.) would be an asset
- You have a solid command of Contract and Commercial Law and strong expertise in contract negotiation across various types of agreements
- You have knowledge and/or expertise in Advertising Law, Intellectual Property, and Consumer Law. Knowledge of Sports Law is a plus
- You have a strong interest in digital marketing and are familiar with project management and negotiation methodologies
- You are proficient with office and digital tools, demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, a structured approach, contractual rigor, and absolute confidentiality
- You are known for your communication skills, interpersonal ease, team spirit, flexibility, and business-oriented mindset
- You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French
Recruitment steps
If your application is shortlisted, Elodie will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning). Next, you will meet Audrey – Head of Legal Contracts (your future manager), followed by Sarah - General Counsel (ManaCom member). Finally, Elodie will conduct a final HR interview to review AssessFirst results. The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
