The position will serve as Senior Legal Counsel for DIM Brands International, a Regent Portfolio company, and as an integral part of Regent’s EU Legal team. DIM Brands International is a prominent fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, with several trade names and operations spanning across Europe. The Senior Legal Counsel will be part of Regent’s Legal team in Europe, report directly to the European General Counsel and will be a key member of the DIM executive leadership team, actively shaping the company’s legal and business strategies.

Based in Paris, this role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in commercial and corporate law, restructuring, competition and advertising law, and a proven track record of leadership and executive presence. Significant in-house legal experience is essential, ensuring a deep understanding of the business environment and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the company’s legal strategy to support business objectives across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Help lead, mentor, and developmembers ofa high-performing in-house legal team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to theDIMexecutive team on all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Commercial & Corporate Law:

  • Advise on, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution, supply, and partnership agreements.
  • Oversee corporate governance, ensuring compliance with local, national, and EU regulations, and support company secretarial functions, M&A activities, and joint ventures.

Restructuring:

  • Lead and advise on corporate restructuring initiatives, including reorganizations, integrations,and business transformation projects.
  • Manage legal aspects of workforce restructuring, asset transfers, and cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

Competition & Advertising Law:

  • Ensure compliance with European and national competition laws, including antitrust, pricing, and market dominance issues.
  • Advise on advertising, marketing, and promotional activities to ensure alignment with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement robust compliance programs, policies, and training to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholdersandexternal counsel.
  • Represent the company in negotiationsanddisputes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+years of post-qualification experience, including substantial in-house legal experience within the FMCG sector or a multinational environment.
  • Deep expertise in commercial, corporate, restructuring, competition, and advertising law within a pan-European context.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing in-house legal teams and influencing at the executive level.
  • Strong executive presence, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent inFrench andEnglish; and other European languages is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
