Team

In our DCS FinTech branch, we deliver digital payment solutions to banking and associated sectors, providing a secure wallet that digitizes, tokenizes, and NFC‑pays cards on Android and iOS, and pushes cards into the wallets of major players such as Apple, Google, and Samsung.

Mission

The Senior Java Engineer will play an active role in the design and development of Digital Card Services for Entrust Instant Financial Issuance, using Java and a modern web technology stack that incorporates the latest industry security standards. The candidate will work independently, applying experience and judgement to accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, deploy, debug, and implement Java/Spring Boot software applications and services.
• Apply Agile (Scrum) methodology to track progress and enforce project standards.
• Apply secure development lifecycle, threat modeling, and web application security assessments.
• Participate in requirements definition, documentation, and code reviews.
• Contribute to estimation of work for the team by defining task breakdown, project duration, and concurrent effort.
• Assist in production escalation and problem resolution.
• Review and unit test code from other team members.
• Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD environments.
• Function independently with project assignments and minimal supervision.
• Exhibit a process‑oriented mindset.
• Confidently interact and share skills with team members.
• Identify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Java backend development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with JUnit testing.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of business objects layered design, data access objects, and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with SaaS development and deployment.
• Autonomous yet a real team player, not afraid of challenges.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Java backend development.
• Experience in an SDLC environment.
• Experience with SaaS development and deployment.
• Experience in an AWS environment.
• Experience developing a commercial/external software product.
• Experience in multi‑threaded and distributed platforms.
• Elasticsearch experience.
• Master's degree in engineering.
