Overview

A Roving Guard Team Leader directs and supervises a team of guards performing internal roving patrols. He/she is directly responsible to the Operations Center Chief at the designated installation and acts as the guard team leader.

Responsibilities

1. The Roving Guard Team Leader is required to pass an annual Physical Ability Test per AR 190-56.
2. The Roving Guard Team Leader ensures that all assigned personnel are properly trained, equipped, briefed, and mentally and physically prepared to perform PSD/ESD.
3. The Roving Guard Team Leader shall ensure that all guard personnel are aware of and abide by all post and general orders.
4. The Roving Guard Team Leader ensures that all assigned personnel are properly trained, equipped, briefed, and prepared to conduct roving patrols.
5. The Roving Guard Team Leader demonstrates fluency in English at a level 2+ based on the Interagency Language Roundtable.

Qualifications

1. U.S. Citizen - must have and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance.
2. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
3. Must possess a Military background with honorable discharge, have reached the grade of E-6 (NATO Code OR-6) or equivalent leadership experience in private security or civilian police, and have served in a supervisory role for at least one year, verified by military transcripts and evaluations.
4. Prior experience as a team leader in armed forces, police, or private security companies in a contingency area is a plus.
