Responsable Relations Sociales (H / F) / Social Relations Manager with international context

This position will serve as the country liaison for all Workplace Practices (WP) matters in France. The incumbent will closely interact and align with Business Facing and other HR entities in France and be responsible to design and drive or coordinate Workplace Practice initiatives for France.

What you will do :

The essential duties and responsibilities entail, but are not limited to the following fields of Workplace Practices (WP) work :

Responsibilities

  • Works Council Relations
    • Hub to coordinate Work Council (WC) / Union information / negotiation on international projects and initiatives across France. Steering France-wide WC negotiations and information. Very close exchange and alignment in all WC interactions with BFHR in France.
    • Overall oversight on all inner-France information / negotiations. Very close exchange and alignment in al WC / Union interactions with Business Facing HR in France.
    • Developing or enhancing processes to leverage efficiency in the way we co-operate with WC´s.
    • Consult the Business and local BFHR on WC relations (advise on difficult situations).
    • Conduct WC education training and updates.
    • Training and Education on French Co-determination rights and Bargaining Agreements (for BFHR and Business).
    • Assess and monitor Union / WC risks and develop mitigation strategies together with BFHR and other relevant stakeholders.
  • HR Compliance
    • Support EMEA and global WP on projects addressing compliance of HR processes in general.
  • Restructurings / RIF´s
    • Supporting business teams and BFHR on bigger restructuring / RIF projects.
    • Looping in the right stakeholders.
    • Applying best practices, design standards and checklists to lean the process.
    • Monitor and track success and completion of restructurings / RIF´s, monitor collateral impact of different initiatives.
    • Assure that HR Compliance is applied.

What you need :

  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships.
  • Problem solving skills and proactive service orientation.
  • Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on highly confidential matters and to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality as to those matters.

Required :

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience.
  • 3+ years significant HR or employment law experience in region.
  • Fluent in English and Fluent on negotiation level in French.
  • Very strong knowledge and experience in French Labor law is required.
  • Experience in collaborating with unions and works councils.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, ideally a degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal or related field.

Preferred :

  • Project Management experience.
  • Global leadership and / or US multinational experience.
  • Experience in the development of policies, training materials and employment communication .
