Activities & Responsibilities

Gruner Stucky is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to support the development and growth of the Italian Department. This role focuses on design, safety assessment, and construction of embankment/concrete dams and hydropower plants, with both local and international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive management of projects related to dams and hydropower facilities:
  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring resources assigned to the projects.
  • Providing technical guidance for both internal and external project teams.
• Support to the Project Manager/Supervisor for contractual issues.
• Conduct short‑term field assignments as required.

Requirements profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (MSc. is preferred; PhD is an asset).
• 10 years of proven experience in dams & hydro engineering, with a portfolio of successful local and international projects.
• Experience in the conception, design, and construction follow‑up of dams.
• Knowledge of international standards and guidelines for dam design, including ICOLD, USBR, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally for short‑term assignments.
