With increasing defence spending and international growth, MyDefence is strengthening its senior delivery and customer leadership and is now appointing a Program Director – Procurement & C‑UAS Programs, France.

The role

The Program Director will be responsible for leading national defence procurement programmes and acting as MyDefence’s primary interface towards defence authorities, procurement agencies and key ecosystem partners. The role carries full accountability for contract execution, delivery governance, customer trust and stakeholder alignment across awarded national defence programmes. While the position has no direct people responsibility, it operates with significant authority across engineering, operations, finance, export control and executive leadership.

The role reports operationally to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and works closely with the CEO on strategically important government programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of awarded national defence procurement programmes
• Act as primary national‑facing representative towards MoDs and procurement authorities
• Translate contractual commitments into structured delivery plans, milestones and risk controls
• Ensure transparent, proactive reporting to customers and MyDefence leadership
• Safeguard delivery performance, compliance and commercial integrity
• Provide market and procurement intelligence feeding future tenders and positioning

The role context

The position operates in highly regulated, politically sensitive defence environments and requires close proximity to national defence ecosystems. The Program Director is expected to be physically based in‑market and able to operate autonomously with senior institutional stakeholders.

Typical locations include:

• France (e.g. Paris / Île‑de‑France – DGA proximity)

Travel activity is expected to be approximately 30–40%, primarily national.

Requirements

• Senior experience from defence, aerospace or security technology environments
• Direct exposure to national defence procurement programmes and institutional customers (e.g. DGA and Armed Forces)
• Proven track record in complex, contract‑bound programme delivery in regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills across government, defence authorities and industry partners
• Comfortable operating with high autonomy and executive visibility
• Fluency in French and English
