An international energy services provider is seeking a qualified individual to operate process and utility equipment safely and efficiently in Marlenheim, France. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in oil and gas production, strong safety adherence, and excellent communication skills in English. This role offers a full-time fixed-term contract with the expectation of contributing to environmental targets and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
  • 5 years offshore experience with field equipment required.
  • Driver certificate issued by a recognized educational institute.

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a :

Job Purpose
  • To operate process and utility equipment, wells, pipelines etc. in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitoring and controlling all oil, gas production and utility systems to ensure that production and environmental targets are achieved.
  • Acting as a member of the Offshore Emergency Response Team in the event of an incident to ensure minimal harm to personnel, environment and asset.
  • Contributing to the development and review of risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced.
Duties
  • Assist the Production Supervisor in safe delivery of core business through active management of production tasks and core operational activities.
  • Act as a Permit Authority to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements.
  • Provide the Production Supervisor with analysis and comment on production volumes, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance.
  • Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure production targets are met and production / rejection volumes are maximized.
  • Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment, fostering collaboration across the organization.
  • Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
  • Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
  • Actively participate in and promote company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plant Integrity.
  • Conduct chemical stock checks and ensure chemical injections are optimised.
  • Isolate and make safe equipment for maintenance.

Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three‑year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent). Driver certificate (A certificate) issued by a recognised educational institute. Experience with seatrax pedestal cranes, Liebherr and hydro lift or similar.

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on‑field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication.

You will have good interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Profile

- High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline.
- Minimum 4 years recent experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil/gas exploration and/or production industries in a similar role.
