🧑🏻💻 About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

Join Mews as the Technical Product Owner shaping the orchestration layer that connects our financial ecosystem. You’ll own the roadmap for the middleware moving critical data between Business Central, Salesforce, Databricks, and FinTech tools, ensuring it’s reliable, observable, and built to scale.

This role sits at the intersection of product and engineering — perfect for someone who thrives on complexity, understands event-driven systems, and can translate technical trade-offs into clear priorities. You’ll work with architects, engineers, and product peers to keep Mews’ financial data flowing seamlessly across a global SaaS platform.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the middleware and orchestration platform — from roadmap to delivery and iteration.
  • Build and manage a clear, prioritised backlog balancing new features, stability, and technical debt.
  • Make data-driven decisions that balance long-term architecture with short-term needs, and communicate them transparently.
  • Work closely with Integration Engineers, the Technical Architect, and the Engineering Manager to turn requirements into deliverable user stories.
  • Partner with Product Owners across ERP, FinTech, RevOps, and Data to ensure consistent, reliable data flows and event contracts.
  • Define and track KPIs for reliability, latency, and throughput to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support release planning and agile ceremonies to keep delivery on track and visible.
  • Document key business logic, data flows, and dependencies across systems.
  • Monitor platform performance, lead root cause analysis, and champion long-term prevention strategies.
  • Advocate for scalability, observability, and operational excellence as core product outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align priorities and manage expectations

🤝️ You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role focused on integration, middleware, or platform products.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging such as Azure Service Bus or Event Grid.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices including CI/CD, observability, version control, and test automation.
  • Technical literacy in reading payloads, schemas, and logs (JSON, REST, GraphQL, SQL) to support investigation and validation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-system data flows or financial integrations.
  • Skilled in backlog management, stakeholder communication, and driving cross-functional delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
  • Comfortable working in an agile, distributed environment where communication and clarity are key.

That success is powered by our incredible people and supported by the benefits that help them thrive.

Mews also achieved finalist status in 2021 and 2022. What's more, we take immense pride in being listed among the Best Places to Work in Hotel Tech during those same years and again this year. Sometimes the work can be challenging and there can be a lot of it, but you’ll always be able to rely on those around you.
