As part of Project Office & Engineering Organization, Design To Cost aims to ensure the best & just enough technical definition, at the just enough cost, on a wide range of rolling stock systems (Doors, Seats, Vehicles, frames,…). Consequently, we would meet our customer’s needs while being competitive technically and economically against our competitor.
Mission
Within the framework of IMPACT30, Development to Cost is supporting the deployment of a product approach that ensures end-to-end development as well as end-to-end cost monitoring on projects and platforms. Our transversal role requires close collaboration with key stakeholders, including Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Suppliers. By maintaining a comprehensive technical and cost perspective, the Design to Cost initiative aims to contribute to the best Total Cost of Ownership at the train level (acquisition + integration + maintenance).
