The recruited person will participate in setting up electrophysiology and behavioral neuroscience experiments in rodents to study the impact of nicotine on anxiety and fear states. In addition, they will be responsible for data analysis using computational tools to classify brain states and describe the neuronal and behavioral changes associated with pharmacological manipulations, through the development of scripts using software such as Python or Matlab.
The recruited person will join the Brain Plasticity Laboratory (UMR 8249 – CNRS) at ESPCI, which brings together eight teams studying the molecular, cellular, neuronal, and behavioral mechanisms of neuroplasticity. They will work within the MOBS team, led by Karim Benchenane, which focuses on the role of body-brain states in memory, behavior, and addiction.
