A leading digital banking platform is looking for a People Business Partner in Paris. This fixed-term contract role will support around 100 employees and 20 managers, focusing on compliance with French labor law and enhancing the company's management culture. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in HR, be fluent in French and English, and possess strong empathy and communication skills. This role offers flexibility with two remote workdays per week and a salary range of €45k-€55k annually.

In this context, HR plays a key role in shaping Shine’ strategy. Our mission is to design processes that ensure the best possible experience for employees across all countries while respecting local regulatory nuances and the unique aspects of each culture.
Our People team consists of 21 members across various roles, including 3 People Business Partners, and Laura, your future manager. At Shine, being an People Business Partner means acting as the trusted partner for around 100 employees and 20 managers per HRBP, supporting them in their day-to-day work, while also driving innovative and international HR policies.
This position is available on a fixed-term contract, for a period of 6 to 8 months, to replace Camille during her maternity leave.
As a true business partner, you’ll be deeply embedded with the teams you support, understanding their missions, challenges, day-to-day operations, and goals.
Establish regular rituals with managers and employees to build trust and become their go-to HR contact.
Ensure that Shine’ values are reflected in our management culture. Advice managers on compliance with local labour law.
Support managers in team reviews (1-on-1s, goal setting, performance reviews, potential disciplinary actions, etc.).
Contribute to team organizational design when needed, support internal mobility, and help managers identify potential risks and solutions.
Collaborate with the Payroll, HR admin, recruitment teams and office managers to coordinate HR operations for your teams and maintain high-quality HR data in our HRIS.
📍 Job located in Paris, with possibility of two remote working days per week
You have at least 3 years of experience in a close partnering role with managers, and experience in a growing startup would be a plus.
You have experience in HR with a french-speaking population, especially in Tech and Design roles, and are familiar with the specifics of French labor law.
You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and can build strong, trusting relationships with employees.
You are known for your empathy : you have a deep understanding of complex situations and always make time for those you work with.
You are pragmatic and enjoy understanding the business challenges of the company you work for.
You are proficient with collaborative tools like Slack, Notion, Intercom, or similar.
You are fluent in French and English.
