Job Description

Job Description Summary:

Fortinet is seeking a Network QA Engineer to join the EMEA Customer Readiness Testing team at the Sophia Antipolis Technical Assistance Centre, France. This technical role focuses on delivering post-sales testing services to key customers.

The Customer Readiness Testing team replicates customer environments to test Fortinet products, aiming to enhance confidence in our software releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network security, preferably in technical support or QA, with skills in setting up testing environments, defining/executing test cases, and documenting test results in service reports for customers. Clear communication and interpretation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementation of customer projects: Testing of Fortinet products in production environments following CRT processes, including understanding project requirements, documenting technical architectures, provisioning test systems, configuring traffic generators, executing test cases, investigating issues, collaborating with R&D, and documenting results for customer delivery.
2. Traffic Generators Management: Creating and maintaining management VM templates, maintaining application flow catalogs, resource management, participating in post-mortems, hardware/software upgrades, vendor relationships, and supporting customer projects with incident resolution.
3. Documentation and Knowledge Development: Creating technical documentation, bulletins, and developing expertise in Fortinet products and technologies, working closely with support teams.

Skills and Attributes Requirements:

• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Deep understanding of data networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving approach
• Knowledge of network security testing tools (Spirent, Ixia)
• Experience with security products (firewalls, IPsec, IDS/IPS, Anti-Spam, AV)
• Understanding of web application security
• Experience with Fortinet products is advantageous
• Customer-oriented attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work in multicultural teams
• Basic knowledge of software testing, scripting, ITIL framework, and project management methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum five years of experience in network security (support or QA)
• Graduate of a network and security engineering program
• Advanced English skills; additional languages are a plus
