A global biotechnology organization seeks a Calibration / Metrology Engineer for a 12-month contract in Toulouse. The successful candidate will ensure safety compliance for a new production facility and lead instrumentation projects. A minimum of 10 years in calibration and a related engineering degree are required. Join a dynamic team and contribute to advancing biotech operations in Europe.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in instrument calibration and maintenance.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals or vaccine manufacturing preferred.

Calibration / Metrology Engineer - Pharmaceuticals - Toulouse, France (12-Month Contract)

Our client, a global biotechnology organization, is recruiting for a Calibration / Metrology engineer to join their capital project in the South of France. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a Calibration / Metrology engineer to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe.

As the Calibration / Metrology engineer, you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,000 m².

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies / Language
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA, EMA, HSA regulations, and cGMP.
  • Knowledge of relevant software tools and programming languages is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in instrumentation systems, including design, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Project ownership and decision-making skills.
  • Project scheduling & reporting skills.
  • Ability to lead contingent staff, external resources, including vendors & contractors.
  • Good team player willing to work for the common goal.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Related Engineering Degree from an accredited technical institution.
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in instrument calibration and maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical or vaccine manufacturing environment.
