Job Description

Our client is looking for aMEP Project Managerto join them on an upcoming Data Centre project which will be on-going for 5+ years.

Day rate :

Budget up to £750 depending onData Centreexperience

Key responsibilities for thisMEP Project Managerrole :

Direct and manage MEP Design and Delivery for a portfolio of projects at varying stages, with a strong focus on those in detailed design.

Serve as the primary liaison for Clients, Design Partners, Contractors, and internal teams on all MEP-related issues.

Coordinate the integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health Engineering disciplines.

Lead project workshops and design reviews, offering expert advice and ensuring all outputs align with local building regulations, CIBSE guidance, and recognised sustainability standards such as BREEAM.

Track budgets, programmes, and resource allocation, providing clear updates on performance and risks to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Review and critique technical drawings, specifications, and related design deliverables to maintain quality and accuracy.

Contribute to business development by supporting proposal preparation, assisting with bid submissions, and representing the company in client presentations.

Experience required for thisMEP Project Managerrole :

A degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field.

Significant experience (5+ years) overseeing MEP design and delivery for construction projects.

In-depth knowledge of local building practices, regulatory frameworks, and industry benchmarks.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams, and build strong client relationships.

Proficiency with design and coordination tools, including AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Navisworks, Revizto, and ACC.

Professional registration with CIBSE, IMechE, or IET is advantageous but not mandatory.

Highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication.

Background in data centres or mission-critical environments is required.
