We are currently seeking Launch Engineers to join our consulting team on an indefinite basis, with positions available in the UK, France, Spain, or Turkey.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as the key customer interface to provide on-site support during prototype and launch phases.
- Ensure the smooth launch of new products into production, including identifying, tracking, and resolving build issues.
- Support customer start-up meetings, including WB and all related launch meetings.
- Plan and support engineering, quality, and rework activities during the build phase, maintaining a support plan.
- Ensure availability of materials at the build site for reworks.
- Coordinate facilities at the build site, such as desks, phones, computers, network, wifi, rework areas, and tables.
- Participate in customer launch kick-off meetings and communicate updates to the team.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with engineering, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure effective communication before and during the launch.
- Attend product design reviews at the harness manufacturing plant.
- Analyze vehicle specifications and maintain the "harness by vehicle build matrix".
- Represent the customer at the launch site, managing all aspects of the launch and supervising personnel.
- Provide excellent support to the customer during the launch phase.
- Support the "breadboard" process and diagnose electrical issues.
- Assist with vehicle builds and advise on EDS package design and system functionalities.
- Support diagnostics of prototype and pre-production vehicles and sign off at the launch site.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Collaborate with the customer manufacturing team to resolve vehicle manufacturing issues.
- Provide initial containment actions for critical issues.
- Participate in "whiteboard" issue meetings, cascade actions, and communicate with the design team.
- Support the AIMS process and communicate with the design team for timely resolutions.
- Report design issues and resolutions, including PR, concern, and rework numbers, and prepare launch management decks.
- Coordinate with quality teams and EDS manufacturing plants to resolve quality issues.
- Investigate and propose EDS design solutions for vehicle build issues.
