A leading research institution in France is seeking an engineer to join their multidisciplinary team for the InfantSimulator project, aimed at bridging human and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will require proficiency in Python, data science tools, and familiarity with machine learning. Responsibilities include analyzing ML architectures and improving software efficiency. Recent graduates with a Master’s degree are welcome to apply. This role offers collaboration opportunities with language scientists and psychologists as they develop innovative solutions.
The team is recruiting an engineer to work at the interface between human intelligence and artificial intelligence within the framework of the InfantSimulator project, funded by the European Research Council (ERC). The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team composed of language scientists, developmental psychologists, and machine learning specialists. The recruited engineer will be responsible for analyzing and / or modifying state-of-the-art machine learning architectures developed by the team and comparing them with experimental and observational data from studies on young children. They will collaborate closely with other engineers and PhD students in the team to improve software efficiency by implementing best practices in software development. They will also ensure that software and algorithms from the scientific community are accessible to team members, either by integrating them into existing tools or by supporting PhD students in their use.
