Your responsibilities involve assessing situations, controlling initial threats, and working closely with emergency teams to protect communities and the environment. The Incident First Responder (IFR) at EFPRP is an essential role, responsible for providing immediate, on-the-ground response during environmental incidents, especially wildfires.
As an IFR, you will be among the first to arrive at an incident scene, assessing the situation, controlling initial threats, and implementing emergency protocols to protect people, property, and the environment.
Working closely with the Incident Director and local emergency teams, the IFR ensures a rapid, efficient response and helps prevent the spread of fires or other hazards.
This role requires physical resilience, quick decision-making, and the ability to operate in challenging outdoor conditions.
