About the Role

The Head of Project Management will lead a diverse team of Project Managers and Support Specialists, guiding them towards attaining project objectives and strategic business goals. The scope of projects under this leadership ranges from straightforward upgrade tasks to extensive projects involving new unit steam turbine generator sets, repairs, engineering studies, and more. This role offers an opportunity to motivate team members, foster their personal growth, and enhance cross‑departmental collaboration to achieve unified organizational goals.

In this dynamic role, you will manage project playbooks, lead daily stand‑ups, review progress reports, and ensure stakeholder alignment while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance for your team.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Track business performance and project progress and be responsible for profit and loss of the projects.
  • Identify potential conflicts or issues and facilitate solutions to meet client’s needs and offer support as needed. Ability to travel as business requires.
  • Champion an agile environment within the organization, fostering adaptability and responsiveness. Leading your team on a personal level, you will emphasize the importance of a healthy work‑life balance. Recruit, train, and manage the team to ensure business needs are met.
  • Assign new projects, taking into consideration factors such as project scope, lead time, skill sets, and workload. You will be entrusted with making critical decisions on project prioritization when necessary due to resource limitations.
  • As a key liaison, you interact with and support various departments including sales, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering to ensure project success and foster collaboration.
  • Ensure safety and quality are prioritized throughout the business.
What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or 10+ years overall engineering experience with at least 5 years of prior experience serving as a manager and leader of people, preferably in Project Management, Proposal or Contract fields.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the team to ensure business needs are met.
  • As a strategic manager, you possess a sincere passion for leadership and fostering individual growth.
  • Strong client relation skills, contract management, risk analysis and reporting skills. Your skills extend to building and maintaining robust networks and relationships, along with the ability to effectively communicate across various levels, including with remote teams.
  • Your background is steeped in substantial leadership experience, complemented by a strong foundation in project management. While knowledge of steam turbines is not a prerequisite, it would be beneficial.
  • An open mentality, an appreciation for innovative insights, and a penchant for problem‑solving are traits you value and exhibit.
