SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Head, IS Operations to join its workforce in Nigeria. He/she shall perform the following task:
- Provide technical expertise in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions and end-user support services on Windows, Linux, and UNIX platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and support to service providers, including TGITS ensuring that local context and environments, as well as local technical and business requirements are well understood and captured during solution design and deployment.
- Participate in the definition and evolution of the IT infrastructure strategy, systems, processes, roadmaps ensuring they meet both business and local performance goals in line with the Company’s IT strategy and Data Governance guidelines.
- Assist the IS Shared Services Manager in coordinating the delivery of IT projects in JV Asset ensuring that project plan, schedules, budgets, and objectives are adhered to. Recommend to IS Shared Services Manager the resources required to successfully deliver IT projects.
- Implement communication strategies to users about planned system evolutions and develop and implement necessary change management measures.
- Work in close collaboration with TGITS to ensure that IT production systems and end-users support services are optimally configured, administered, and aligned to best practices to protect production data and deliver the expected business values.
- Work with IS Shared Services Manager in ensuring that IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Service Requests management etc.) in JV Asset are optimally setup and that SLA targets and KPIs are achieved.
- Coordinate and manage daily the resolution of incidents, service requests, change requests, problems etc. ensuring minimal downtime to systems and services. Responsible for the provisioning of servers, PCs, peripherals and IT hardware in JV Asset.
- Report to relevant technical or hierarchical managers on significant points which hinder the proper functioning of IT systems and make them aware of problems.
- Work with the IS Shared Services manager to ensure proper management of JV Asset IT equipment inventory in the CMDB. Coordinate IT service delivery team and guiding them to achieve their mission and objectives.
- Ensure that staff and contractors comply with extant HSE procedures as well as maintain the confidentiality of information.
Profile
- University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT with at least 5 years’ experience in IT service and infrastructure management with general understanding of O&G operations.
- Good communication skills, excellent organization and methods, and service delivery experience.
- Knowledge of IT services management (ITSM) is essential, working knowledge of French Language is an added advantage.
