A leading global shipping company in Marseilles-lès-Aubigny seeks a dedicated individual to support the Chairman through the preparation of briefing notes and coordination with local entities. The role involves monitoring press coverage and synthesizing information for strategic meetings. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, fluency in French and English, and a deep understanding of the economic landscape. This position requires discretion, initiative, and teamwork in a high-pressure environment.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, prepare the Chairman’s meetings with economic stakeholders and strategic partners (clients, investors, business leaders, suppliers, industrial partners, transport and logistics players, startups, financial institutions) by producing concise briefing notes, ensuring daily monitoring of economic issues, and consolidating key information derived from the Group’s activities (maritime transport, logistics & media).
The position is carried out in close coordination with the person in charge of meetings with a predominantly institutional focus, in order to ensure message consistency, alignment of positions, and a comprehensive view (economic + institutional) during strategic meetings.
Draft briefing notes for the Chairman’s meetings with:
Business leaders (clients, suppliers, industrial partners, investors)
Executives and operational management from the sector (terminal management, ports, shipping companies, freight forwarders, logistics providers, media, IT, AI)
Representatives of professional organizations, sector federations, and chambers of commerce, where applicable
Startups
Financial institutions (banks, investment funds)
International strategic partners and industrial networks
Work closely with the person responsible for institutional briefing notes to integrate political and regulatory aspects related to the Group’s presence
Identify, request, and consolidate relevant information from all Group divisions to ensure a comprehensive, consistent, and up-to-date view of the Group’s activities and footprint related to each meeting:
Business divisions (shipping lines, port terminals, air freight, inland logistics)
Support functions (public affairs, communication, institutional relations, Foundation, media entities)
Regional representatives and country General Managers (GMs) worldwide
Identify and compile information provided by the Group’s various divisions, local representations, or subsidiaries regarding ongoing projects, key issues, or partnerships
Cross-check and align this information with the institutional component
Produce the daily press review for the Chairman (political, regulatory, economic, geopolitical, business, media)
Draft concise article summaries for the Chairman and his office
Occasional preparation of briefing documents, issue briefs, key messages, or briefing materials
