Position: Field Service Engineer/Technician

Location: Lyon

A leading global organisation dedicated to advancing healthcare solutions is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team in the Lyon area. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a fleet of instruments within your designated sector, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will report directly to the Regional Service Manager and collaborate closely with sales and application engineers to enhance our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install automation systems and ensure their proper functioning.
• Manage and execute preventive maintenance according to an established schedule.
• Perform corrective maintenance promptly, including on adjacent sectors when necessary.
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and manage stock levels.
• Identify opportunities for product improvements to enhance Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and communicate these to the relevant teams.
• Promote service and maintenance contracts to enhance customer loyalty.
• Work collaboratively with sales and application engineers to improve overall customer satisfaction.
• Relay all commercial information and intervention reports to headquarters promptly.
• Uphold and enhance the company’s brand image through exceptional service delivery.
• Adhere to company procedures and recommend improvements to optimize operational efficiency.

Your Profile:

• Education: Relevant technical degree or certification in instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a technical role, preferably as a field technician or in a similar capacity.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Language: Fluent in French and a good command of English.
