A leading quantum technology startup in France is seeking a skilled professional to oversee day-to-day operations in their Quantum Hardware department. The role involves managing a team, developing processes for manufacturing quantum processors, and ensuring high standards in cleanroom practices. Candidates should have significant backend experience, proficiency in electrical testing, and strong leadership capabilities. The position offers a competitive benefits package, including a flexible remote policy.
Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit, which can implement quantum error correction autonomously. We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants and growing fast after securing €100 million of funding in 2025 to develop our unique technology. We are 100+ people strong, including physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!
Alice&Bob is developing a quantum computer based on cat qubits. We are expanding from academic cleanrooms to build our own prototyping cleanroom in Ile de France (construction started, start of operation beginning 2026). This facility will speed up the design iteration cycle by reducing the lead time of chip fabrication and improve the capability of Alice&Bob nanofabrication processes.
As part of the Quantum Hardware department, the electrical test and packaging team will play a pivotal role in operating and developing the backend of line used for manufacturing Alice&Bob Quantum Processor. Technically, this encompasses room temperature electrical testing, dicing, wirebonding of chips inside sample holders.
The job requires regular work inside the cleanroom.
