Data Science Manager - your future role?
As a Data Science Manager in Argenteuil or Paris (France), you will facilitate the development, and performance of scalable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models, the definition and improvement of the Data Science methodologies, building the Data Science Team & Talent network across the Group.
You will report to the Head of Data & Analytics.
You will:
Define and maintain the Data Science vision
Set processes and governance for the centralized Data Science team
Support and review value case definition of opportunities for Data Science
Team, Portfolio, and Resource Management for Data Science
Ensure the right infrastructure and technology stacks to build and deploy efficient models
Oversee end-to-end solution delivery affecting Data Science
Define a vision and a roadmap for the data science team with the company leadership team
Collaborate with other managers to translate Business strategy into an IT strategy
Ensure agreement of projects and roadmap prioritisation across teams
Provide inputs to the Head of D&A and Architects on Market and Technology trends and best practices to give as input to the strategy process
Ensure value-based decisions are taken through the Information System delivery process and platform evolution, and considering systematic global impacts
Leadership
Lead the team to the execution of vision and roadmap
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists with multiple backgrounds
Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned architecture, investments, and solutions are aligned with IM&T goals
Provide budget forecast to match the validated strategic roadmap goals at DS level
Ensure transparency and collaboration across teams
Promote the DS solutions landscape to Business and IT
Promote the data science practice inside the company to increase visibility
Manage internally the DS portfolio (assignment, selection and classification, contribution to value case, and other portfolio activities) and ensure partners are involved in DS portfolio definition
Communicate with all IT partners the necessary information about the portfolio
Support other Managers in building, and communicating their portfolios for products including or using DS solutions
Solution Delivery Management
Maintain oversight of all programs led or contributed by the team, ensuring that DS resource commitments are planned, staffed, monitored, and reported; ensure nomination and availability of business resources in projects (main users)
Collaborate with the team to analyse new demands, provide inputs on new solutions and project estimates, highlight dependencies and constraints on DS
Participate in cross-IT potential solutions definition; identify products impacted by projects or new product needs
Mitigate any risk linked to solutions and resources during project execution
Ensure resources follow best practices, methodologies, frameworks, and policies (information security included)
Manage direct reports and their respective activities, ensuring HR global processes are followed.
Your professional background includes:
Master's degree in computer science with Data Science or mathematics or statistics specialisation
10+ years working in the Information technology arena.
5+ years of experience managing team dynamics, building team relationships, mentoring team members, and delivering feedback
3+ years in AI/ML environments
Experience in an Agile environment
Deliver machine learning products in a corporate environment
Exhibit skills in leading efforts involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple related projects
Exposure and understanding of existing and latest technologies, and processing environments
Experience with new approaches and methodologies (Design Thinking, Design Sprints and UX design)
The ability to collaborate in a matrix environment and influence teams without formal authority
: Curious and interested in Digital and Information Technologies
