Position Title: Continuous Improvement Manager

As part of the plant leadership team the Continuous Improvement Manager plays a key role in driving performance efficiency and engagement across the Bethune site.

This position acts as a facilitator and change leader ensuring that global CI initiatives are successfully translated and adapted to local challenges and opportunities.

What you'll be doing.
  • You lead and deploy Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies (MDI, PDCA, 5S, SMED) across the site.
  • You foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering teams to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • You coach and support production and support functions in problem‑solving and cost‑reduction projects.
  • You lead and monitor cross‑functional improvement initiatives ensuring alignment with plant strategy.
  • You facilitate the translation of global CI standards into site‑relevant practices.
  • You manage and develop a small team (CI Engineer, Training Manager, Apprentice).
  • You contribute to the plant's energy performance and productivity improvement plans.
  • You are an active member of the site leadership team collaborating closely with all departments.
What you'll need to be successful.
  • Master's degree (Bac5) in Engineering Industrial Management or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt certification preferred).
  • Proven ability to coach, lead and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Experience working in a medium‑sized industrial site, ideally in the food or process industry.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with operational pragmatism.
  • Fluent in French and comfortable communicating in English (meetings with leadership).
  • Positive, engaging and collaborative personality; someone who creates connection and energy within teams.

About the team.

You will report directly to the Plant Director and be part of the Matougues Leadership Team (13 members). You will lead a team of three (1 CI Engineer, 1 Training Manager, 1 Apprentice) and collaborate daily with production, maintenance, quality and supply chain departments. The current CI Manager will remain until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding.
