The role includes working with a diverse team, fostering partnerships, and supporting the mission of the church. Candidates should have a proactive mindset, be flexible, and show evidence of spiritual growth. This position is ideally long-term, with the potential for shorter commitments as well.

Communitas International is a 6‑year‑old multicultural and bilingual church plant located in the urban neighborhood of Ruzafa in Valencia, Spain. Following a missional, incarnational impulse, we have chosen to live in the neighborhood where we serve and strive to be a vibrant expression of the church and God’s kingdom in all that we do. We are a community of spiritual seekers, Jesus‑followers, creatives, and globally minded neighbors learning to embody the Gospel and seek the Shalom of our city.

We’re looking for a preferably Spanish speaker, or someone with basic knowledge of the language, to be part of the continued development of an authentic, relevant expression of church in Valencia, Spain’s third largest city. The role includes working within a multicultural team, developing partnerships with churches, ministries and/or NGOs, casting vision for church growth and multiplication, and contributing to the daily rhythms of community life (both church and neighborhood). We’re looking for someone who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and has a strong commitment to the mission and values of Communitas. Ideally we are looking for someone to invest themselves long‑term in this position but are open to a shorter‑term commitment as well.

• Church planting experience preferred

• Involved in a local church and evidence of a growing spiritual maturity
• A self‑starter, able to work remotely, and able to handle project management
• Social media/web experience would be a plus
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to a changing work environment and challenges
• Creative thinker
• Artistic (would be a great benefit)
• Enjoys living in a place with 300+ days of sunshine a year!!!

Funding

The salary and ministry expenses of this position are funded through personal support raising. Self‑employed or bi‑vocational teammates are also welcome. Applicants will be asked to go through the Communitas Missionary Candidate Process, including fundraising if needed and orientation prior to starting the position. A funding plan for this position will be provided during the deputation process.
