In this role, you will support the category team in various merchandising activities, conduct market research, and assist with vendor communication. 1. Job Title: Category Assistant
2. Office Location: 22 Avn. Matignon, Paris, France
3. Internship Duration: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with an internship duration of 3 months or more
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the category leader, manager and category buyers in day to-day merchandising activities such as assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management.
2. Assist in vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of products and adherence to quality standards.
3. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats in assigned product categories.
4. Maintain accurate product data, pricing information, and inventory records in the merchandising system to facilitate effective decision-making and reporting.
5. Help identify and correct errors in product descriptions, visuals or data.
6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional campaigns, product launches.
7. Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and analysis for category reviews, business meetings, and executive updates.
