THE ROLE

This role sits within the Marketing and Business Development team, whose focus is on helping our expert Partners and other lawyers to win business and deliver an excellent client service. We are ambitious to demonstrate the firm's premium quality and imaginative approach, and we are investing significantly in our marketing efforts. That has brought with it new opportunities for brilliant marketing talent.

The BD & Marketing Executive role will report into the BD & Marketing Manager in Paris and work closely the International BD team to deliver our strategy and drive our go-to-market initiatives. The role encompasses business development, marketing and communications activities and with a clear focus on execution and results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work alongside the BD & Marketing Manager in supporting the delivery of priority BD, marketing and communications activities in close collaboration with the international, sector and divisional BD team.
• Support lawyers with business development targeting and client engagement activities.
• Assist (and sometimes leading) with RFP responses, pitches, and client presentations in both English and French. Also support the Bids team on major tenders.
• Plan, organise, and promote events and webinars in France.
• Drive our social media presence, drafting LinkedIn posts and managing the content calendar.
• Draft, produce, and distribute both external and internal communications.
• Produce and update brochures, capability statements, presentations, and other materials in collaboration with the design team, ensuring consistency with the firm's brand and visual identity.
• Be an ambassador for our technology platforms, specifically, our CRM platform (InterAction) and credential database (Foundation) to ensure their use is optimised to support BD activities and opportunities.
• Support lawyers with client meeting preparation, including tailored research in collaboration with the research team.
• Keep our French website pages and lawyer biographies polished and up to date.
• Work with partners to draft submissions to leading legal directories (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• Initial professional experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Ability to build trust and relationships quickly, engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-starter with initiative and resilience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with CRM systems (e.g., InterAction) is an advantage.
