PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Owner of the development strategy for the product range in responsibility.
- Ensure that product ranges are available for sale and delivery within agreed performance, technical risk, and cost, supporting growth, profitability, and quality objectives.
- Define, manage, and develop the product roadmap for the complete product range.
- Own responsibility for product cost management within the segment.
- Lead and coordinate activities involving site teams to support the product roadmap, including R&D, sustaining, procurement, and industrial strategies.
- Monitor and ensure product performance and competitiveness throughout all phases from development to operations.
- Support pre-tendering activities by confirming product solutions, supporting tenders, and participating in validation.
- Act as main interface for the RS Platform for responsible products.
- Serve as the technical referent for battery components and subsystems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate product roadmaps aligned with component-level targets, focusing on performance, competitiveness, and cost.
- Maintain product portfolio competitiveness in terms of technology and costs.
- Ensure product validation, homologation, and compliance with evolving norms and regulations.
- Identify market gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Align product strategies with the RS Platform.
- Define product requirements for tenders and applications, including variability and gaps, and validate tenders.
- Support project teams in maintaining product strategy during tendering phases.
- Manage collaboration across teams involved in product development and support.
- Keep product documentation current.
- Manage PAB & PRB for new R&D programs.
- Represent Alstom in standard committees and academia for battery components and subsystems.
- Support projects with battery component and subsystem problem solving and risk management.
REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering or equivalent, with experience.
- Fluent in English.
Desirable: Degree in battery design.
Experience
- At least 5 years in engineering or subsystem management, with strong knowledge of battery components and subsystems.
- Understanding of traction/vehicle design.
Desirable: Knowledge of internal processes (tenders, projects, engineering, etc.), traction/motor technology, and heavy-duty standards.
