About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Paris Housekeeping Department in Paris, the Assistant General Housekeeper continuously monitors and manages cleaning operations with the General Manager to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hotel. Motivate and train colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient housekeeping service. Meet and exceed guest expectations in line with Mandarin Oriental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the quality, efficiency and consistency of customer service
  • Guide and assist Housekeeping Department Managers (Linen Room, Floors, Florist) in the management of their staff (team management, planning and bursar)
  • Replace the General Housekeeper in case of absence and represent her at various meetings
  • Participate in team recruitment
  • Participation in team training
  • Implement and monitor Safe and Sound procedures
  • Comply with the hotel's health and safety regulations, as well as the procedures inherent to the establishment and the floor service
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an equivalent position in a similar establishment
  • Organization, rigor, discretion and initiative
  • Good management and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English essential
