A leading research laboratory in France seeks a motivated post-doctoral researcher for MRI image analysis in small and large animal models. The position focuses on comparing brain morphometric changes during reproductive cycles, with access to advanced imaging facilities. Candidates should have a strong background in image analysis and programming. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of extension.

The position is dedicated to MRI image analysis in small (rats) and large (sheep) animal models. The project aims to compare brain morphometric (mainly Voxel-Based Morphometry) changes according to the reproductive cycle (virgin, early and late gestation, post-partum). The laboratory is equipped with all state of the art imaging facilities for large animals (CIRE platform: http://www6.val-de- loire.inra.fr/cire) including a 3T-MRI and a CT scan.
The position is initially for one year but extension up to 3 years in total is possible (funding: French national research agency and regional council).
Ideally the position will start beginning of 2017.
Only candidates with a very high motivation will be selected.
The laboratory is located in Nouzilly near Tours in the heart of the Loire Valley. Tours, is a pleasant city well connected to Paris (1h by high speed train) or Bordeaux (2h from mid 2017 by high speed train).
Salary will be according to experience.
