Join our Business Development team as Associate Director Business Development.
Associate Director Business Development supports the acquisition and growth of new business opportunities, focusing on Clinical Research and/or Pharmacovigilance (PV), Medical Information (MI), and Regulatory Affairs (RA) services. The role involves proactive client acquisition, account development, and supporting strategic sales initiatives.
Location: Europe (Remote/Travel Required)
Reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully driving new client acquisition, demonstrating a strategic, "hunter"-oriented approach in the Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA service domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Attracting new clients and building strong relationships in Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA service lines
- Maintaining good relationships with key clients and ensuring proactive account management
- Achieving assigned sales goals and supporting broader commercial strategies
- Supporting sales strategy execution and collaborating with internal stakeholders
Business Development
- Identify and convert new business opportunities in Clinical Research and/or PV, MI, and RA areas
- Drive lead generation and relationship development independently
- Represent the company at industry events and support sales strategy implementation
Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain account plans for clients
- Coordinate RFP/RFI responses and lead bid defense meetings
- Ensure high client satisfaction and continuity
Operational Collaboration
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
- Support proposal, marketing, and operations teams during client acquisition cycles
Revenue Growth
- Achieve sales targets consistently
- Contribute to year-over-year growth in territories or accounts
Requirements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

- University degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience in CRO or related life sciences sector
- Fluent in English and native language (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) is a plus
