We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled VFX Editorial Coordinator to join our team. This role is central to the communication between the client editorial department and our production team, ensuring seamless data exchange and accuracy across all stages of the edit. You will play a critical part in keeping projects on track, supporting both creative and technical workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the main point of contact with client editorial, tracking all stages of client edits, internal edits, and iterations.
• Maintain the production database (Flow Production Tracking) with lineup and count sheet information, verifying correct plates, frame ranges, and color use.
• Provide clarification and support to artists and production teams when needed.
• Conform internal sequences with editorial changes, communicating updates and references to VFX production teams in a timely manner.
• Prepare sequence edits and minicuts for clients as required.
• Perform quality control checks on VFX shots submitted for editorial review.
• Manage media and project files using Avid Media Composer and a shared storage system (Nexis).
• Edit showreels, marketing materials, and internal presentations.
• Liaise with clients and production teams on all aspects of data I/O.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of the VFX pipeline, processes, and terminology.
• Proficiency in The Foundry Hiero, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of video codecs, transcoding, and best practices.
• Solid understanding of color science (CDL, LUTs, color space).
• Familiarity with shot-tracking systems (e.g., Flow Production Tracking), Google Suite, and productivity tools.
• Ability to edit creative visual reels with integrated sound design.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and capacity to meet deadlines under tight schedules.
• Understanding of data exchange workflows (IBM Aspera, Signiant).
