Job Title: UX/UI Designer with a Focus on AI

Role Summary ?

Sanoma Educación Global is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer with a strong orientation toward AI-assisted design to join our Digital Product Delivery team in Madrid. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping intuitive and inclusive educational experiences across digital platforms and learning tools.

You will work as part of a global digital products team, dedicating his/her time to supporting the local Spanish education business. This dual focus offers the opportunity to contribute both to Sanoma’s international design standards and to local digital innovation within the education sector.

Key Objectives

• Design impactful digital learning experiences tailored to the needs of students, educators, and families.
• Contribute to local product evolution while aligning with international UX standards and workflows.
• Integrate AI technologies to enhance design efficiency, accessibility, and personalization.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support the delivery of high-quality educational solutions.

Main Responsibilities ?

UX Design

• Design intuitive navigation flows for LMS platforms, interactive apps, and digital educational content.
• Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG) and support inclusive user experiences.
• Collaborate with editorial, product management, marketing and technology teams to transform print-based content into engaging digital formats.
• Lead or support user research efforts to understand behaviours, needs, and expectations.
• Define personas, user journeys, and scenarios relevant to educational environments.

UI Design

• Build scalable, brand-aligned visual interfaces and design components.
• Design within and contribute to existing design systems and style guides.
• Prototype low- and high-fidelity solutions for iterative validation and feedback.
• Document interface patterns and maintain visual and functional consistency.

AI-Enhanced Design

• Apply generative AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and visual exploration.
• Use AI solutions to support user testing, behaviour prediction, or personalization.
• Integrate AI workflows into day-to-day design tasks using tools such as Uizard, Galileo AI, Midjourney, DALL·E, ChatGPT, and Figma plugins like Magician.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with developers, pedagogical experts, digital editors, marketing teams, and product managers.
• Actively contribute to concept development, feature definition, and roadmap planning.
• Support Digital Product Delivery initiatives for local digital product releases.
• Plan and conduct usability testing (including A/B testing) and analyze user insights.
• Share knowledge through clear documentation and design education across teams.

Required Qualifications ?

· Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, or similar.

· 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally in educational, editorial, or digital learning contexts.

· Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and familiarity with agile tools like Jira and Confluence.

· Understanding of accessibility standards and design for inclusivity.

· Experience with or interest in AI-assisted design tools.

· Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).

· Must be based in Madrid, Spain.
