A global food manufacturing company based in Spain is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to ensure the implementation of quality standards across international operations. The role requires over 7 years of experience in supplier management and food safety, along with strong leadership and analytical skills. Position Summary :

The Supplier Quality Manager will oversee the design, implementation, monitoring, performance assessment, and continuous improvement of External Operation systems across all company-owned and influenced manufacturing facilities worldwide. The role involves setting and enforcing standards, aligning global practices with regulatory and customer requirements, and promoting unified standards within the Supply Chain Organization.

  • Position open to Spain, France, Turkiye, and Rumania

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

  • Establish strategies to ensure the implementation of GB & BQ Supplier Management Standards.
  • Define and coordinate with BQ AOW & Countries on policies, programs, and procedures related to food quality and safety for Supplier Management.
  • Support markets in risk assessment and testing plans for incoming raw materials.
  • Address global and local supplier complaints regarding quality, food safety, and regulatory issues.
  • Support approval, development, performance metrics, and certification programs for suppliers of ingredients and packaging materials from a quality and food safety perspective.
  • Collaborate with global and regional supply chain teams to prioritize alternative supplier development for contingency planning and competitive service and cost.
  • Coach suppliers for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and organize Food Quality and Safety audits for suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier progress and report on performance.
  • Work closely with AOWs, Countries’ External Operations, Procurement, and R&D to ensure the safety of ingredients.

Co-Manufacturing Management :

  • Develop strategies to implement GB & BQ co-manufacturing standards.
  • Develop food safety and quality programs for co-manufacturing.
  • Define service agreements with co-manufacturers regarding quality, safety, and legality.
  • Establish controls and perform audits on co-manufacturing operations, making decisions and issuing alerts as needed.
  • Define KPIs for co-manufacturing evaluation and feedback.
  • Monitor co-manufacturer progress and report regularly.

Quality in Logistics, Transportation, and Reverse Logistics :

  • Develop strategies for quality and safety standards in storage and transportation.
  • Oversee selection and monitoring of warehouses handling materials and finished products.
  • Support markets in establishing handling procedures at distribution centers.
  • Develop service-level agreements with transport operators including quality and safety guidelines.
  • Implement evaluation systems for warehouses and transport operations.
  • Coordinate resources to address quality, safety, and legality risks.
  • Establish KPIs for external warehouses and transport quality and safety.
  • Monitor transport providers and report on progress.

IT Tool Management :

  • Ensure full implementation and maintenance of Tracegains Software at BQ.
  • Organize ongoing user training for partners and external operations.

Team Development & Training :

  • Develop and deliver training on Quality & Food Safety expectations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with Grupo Bimbo External Operations team.
  • Promote global knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • At least 7 years of experience in Supplier Management, Food Safety & Quality, with multi-site or international scope, preferably in baked goods or food manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Supply Chain, Export/Import regulations, and standards.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (20–40%).
