Role Summary

Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Lifeguard/Backup Monitor to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The Lifeguard/Backup Monitor ensures campers' safety during pool time and supports various camp activities. The role includes stepping in to cover for other monitors, providing pastoral care, and assisting with camp operations. They will also be responsible for first aid, emergency response, and helping with arrivals and check-ins.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Arrival: Attend training, review camp materials, and set up facilities. Familiarize with safety protocols and complete online child safety training.
• Daily Duties: Supervise campers during pool time, assist with camp activities, and step in to cover for other staff. Provide first aid and assist with emergencies. Participate in evening and late duties, ensuring camper safety.
• Arrival Day Duties: Welcome campers and families, assist with check-in, and help with pool opening.
• General Staff Duties: Follow camp guidelines, maintain professionalism, and wear the camp uniform. Complete child safety training and uphold hygiene standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Advanced or Proficiency (C1-C2) English. Valid EU work permit, CV with photo, references, criminal record, and lifeguard/first aid certifications.

Contract & Wage

• Contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025, including training.
• Weekly wage: €490, with accommodation, meals, and accident insurance.
