Senior Full Stack Engineer – Up to £100,000

Pearson Carter are currently working with a rapidly growing and highly innovative SaaS company operating in the cyber security training industry. They are expanding their engineering team due to continued success and a growing global user base. They are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in the MERN stack and a passion for developing scalable, secure, and modern web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack software solutions with scalability, reliability, and security in mind
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to deliver user-focused features
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring high code quality and alignment with best practices
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and cross-functional discussions
• Continuously monitor and improve system performance and user experience

Experience

• 5 years’ experience in software engineering across frontend and backend
• Strong hands-on experience with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express/NodeJS, React, Typescript)
• Experience working in a SaaS scale-up or startup environment
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS (or Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Passion for cyber security or education is a bonus

Location

This is a fully remote role open to candidates across the UK and Europe. Flexible hours with some overlap to UK working time (4 hours minimum between 8am–6pm BST).
